The event

The Bond Solon Conference Team is in the midst of agreeing topics and speakers for the 2024 Conference. As always, we will have an excellent line up of speakers to address the UK’s largest expert witness audience.

Speakers will include the Chair of the Bar, Sam Townend KC, who will talk about how barristers and experts can work more effectively together.

We are also delighted to welcome Paul Philip, Chief Executive of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), an organisation that regulates over 200,000 solicitors in England and Wales. Various surveys conducted by Bond Solon have produced results showing experts regularly experience issues with instructing solicitors, such as pressure to produce a favourable opinion and late or non-payment of fees. Paul will explain what the SRA does and in what circumstances and at what stage the SRA can help expert witnesses.

There is your regular Annual Legal Update to catch you up with all the changes in case law, legislation and practice over the past year, as well as specialist strands for experts in the commercial, criminal, and family courts and those working in medico-legal areas. 

You have the option of attending in person at our historic Westminster venue or online, if this is more convenient for you.
